Typical apparel placements we punch
Left chest on adult polos usually sits about 3 to 3.75 inches wide, a few inches down from the collar. Youth and women’s blanks run smaller. Hoodie marks, sleeve tabs, and jacket-back fields are separate tickets — scaling one DST in the machine menu changes density the punch did not plan.
Pique needs underlay so the knit holes do not show through. Fleece swallows stitches unless coverage and knock-down are set for the pile. Stretch jerseys need extra pull compensation so circles do not sew as ovals.
How to brief an apparel punch
Send vector or a sharp PNG, the finished width, “left chest / hoodie / jacket,” and the fabric (pique, cotton jersey, fleece, performance knit). Name DST, PES, or the wrapper your heads actually load. Amazing Punch will tell you if type is too small before we punch.
